the icarecafe would really like your help with a discussion on Hypothyroidism

Dear Friends

As you many know the icarecafe has been set up to provide a space for patients, carers and their supporters online.

Some of the members have set up a discussion group on the subject of Hypothyroidism. The group has asked lots of questions which are still in the process of being answered. So we thought it appropriate if we invited people from other Hypothyroidism discussion groups and blogs to ask if they wished to participate.

To have a look at the discussions so far please have a look at

http://www.icarecafe.com/?page_id=1107&group_id=6

Please do feel free to join in the discussions and to post any information which might be of interest to our members. To do so you will have to join the icarecafe.

If you have any questions please feel free to get in touch. I’m one of the moderators of the icarecafe and I can be contacted by sending and internal email to my profile.

Thanks very much in advance for your help!

Best wishes

Thanks for this informative video! I have been diagnosed with PCOS and have symptoms of thyroid issues. I am a mom of seven children here (one in heaven). I’m also a nursing student. My life is pretty stressful, and I can now see the connection. I look forward to figuring out my health issues and becoming the healthiest me possible. I am considering going on into chiropractic care as I feel holistic medicine is much more valuable to our patients than the quick fix drugs give.
Thanks again!

I have a daughter who got mono in college, then would have bouts of fatigue to the point of tears (which is not like her) and have trouble walking. One time this summer she got so fatigued she had to be carried to the car and couldn’t talk for a little while right after a nap. I was told that it could be that her cortisol was so depleted and she probably had no reserve, does this sound accurate? I have her on nutrition now which seems to be helping, but she gets colds easily.

Thanks!

There is a lot that need to be investigated. It could range anywhere form brain damage to a simple immune imbalance in which her body can no longer fight the virus. That needs to be investigated before any decisions are made. I can do a more in depth investigation into her case but cannot promise anything at this point. She must be examined in the acute medical field first for intimidate dangers. Send me a personal email at: DrB@TrueHealthDC.com

Dr,Brady,

I was watching your video on Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis .I had tyroidities before it went away. I had a great Dr. from DC who didn’t put me on meds, everything went back to normal.
Now that I am back in the Navy,I am having issues again i did a tyroid scan said I have throiditis, my T3 are normal my T4 that is high a little, I was put on Methimazole which i was allergic too, I no longer have the sympthoms that I had hair falling out or forgetfulness. Everything is back to normal before i was put on the meds, now I am off because of reaction.
I would if my doctor would listen to try what you say? Do you work with military doctors? how can I go about this for your help?

Denise
